ABS hybrid hammers
The Novus NV10S’ precision-engineered ABS hammers have been designed for structural stability and optimum keyboard touch-response.
Each individual hammer is grade-weighted to mirror the heavier bass and lighter treble hammers of an acoustic piano, ensuring that the NV10S’ key touch-weight feels the same as a well-regulated acoustic instrument.
Optical hammer sensors
The precise movements of each hammer are measured using high-resolution optical sensors, providing greater accuracy than conventional key-based sensor systems.
This more advanced approach closely reproduces the mechanical flow of an acoustic piano, and allows rapid pianissimo passages with mordents or trills to be performed with greater fluency.

In the early 20th century, Koji Hehe designed and produced Japan's first complete acoustic piano stringer. In the following decades, engineers from Hehe diligently pursued the founder's pursuit of perfection, using advanced materials and designs to promote the artistic form of piano.
The third-generation hyper responsive stringer keyboard system inherits the Kawai GX grand piano, which embodies the spirit of Koichi Kawa.
ABS carbon fiber is used in this string player component. This is a very sturdy and rigid composite material, making the components of these percussion machines more sturdy, lightweight, and moving faster than traditional wooden percussion machines.
In addition, the Kawai GX series grand piano also features an extended keyshaft, providing better control and smoother feedback from the front to the back of the keys.
